 "Million Versions of You"

" Whenever two people meet, there are really six people present. There is each man as he sees himself, each man as the other person sees him, and each man as he really is. " -William James

The curator of this project got inspired of a book she read titled "One, None and a Hundred Thousand". Then came after Namjoon's speeches about loving ourselves and finding who are, when a lot of people get to appreciate and love him more. His wisdom and the depth of his music are the factors of spearheading this. The theme came before the event, and it all built together gradually that suited him.

It comes in ripple, one word after the other. Namjoon and the rest of the BTS have become ARMYs inspiration but its unbelievably amazing how they can exist in our eyes are the same versions of their selves put out there. My view of Namjoon may bear difference to your perception of him, or a little to none.

There is only one objectively true version of ourselves, and that is how we came to know who we are and then that version is interpreted by people to create their subjective view of you. No matter how true this statement is, it's always amazing that we have different versions of ourselves out there.

"For every person you encounter, there is a version of you that exists in their mind." Two different people may have submitted the same photo, and that is how they look at Namjoon but their perception of it may differ. And creating this project for Namjoon is one way to know how he exists in the eyes of many ARMYs and how all those versions are beautiful regardless. How they came to know him, whether through his music or speeches and what comes after.

However, it's a constant reminder that no matter how people view you, what you thought about yourself is the only true version to exist. Those million versions don't create a reality of who you are, they are mere perception and reality of as they know it. You are still you to you, and I am still me to me.
